2011 will no doubt bring us many good things, but will one of these things be the new Mustang from Ford? Well, from all indications, Ford isn’t just planning on delivering a new, better Mustang - it is delivering a pony that will change the game. How? Well, here is how they are doing it.
The 2011 Mustang V6 is the one we have our eyes on. Not because it is the most powerful pony we will see on the road in 2011, but because of what it gives us along with the 305 horsepower that will get cranked out of the engine with 280 Lbs.-ft torque. It is going to give us a projected 30 miles to the gallon - now how is that for revolutionizing the way sporty cars behave?
Yes, the new Mustang is projected to get fuel mileage that will change the game. But how are they going to get this out of a V6 that is built to be Mustang-fast? Well, strong and athletic have always been words to describe America’s favorite Ford sports car, but in 2011, Ford is going to up the stakes.
Focusing on Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing technology, this pony will bring more power than a motor of it’s size is used to bringing - that is for sure. But this 3.7 liter v6 also utilizes this technology to make the most out of every ounce of air, exhaust, and fuel - meaning that it will stretch every last bit to the very maximum, giving us more miles per gallon than we have seen in a car of this caliber.
So, is the Ford Mustang a ride to be reckoned with? You would be insane to deny that it is.
