Having Car Insurance Can Save You Being the 'Uninsured and Crushed'

Yes, that's right. Having car insurance can save you from being the 'uninsured and crushed'. The powers that we have put into place, a way for the law to impound your car if it's found on the road without insurance, and take it to be crushed. It's a new scheme that was put into place in Durham as of last spring. And to date, they've managed to impound over 1,200 cars, which were subsequently crushed into little cubes.

They call their little 'legal thievery' Operation Takeaway. It's nothing less than communism. It's puts people in a 'police state'. It leaves people without rights, and is a disgrace. It's a time of depression and recession, and they're penalizing people for not having any money. It's always been that way in the courts. If you have money, you don't go to jail, but if you don't, the jails are full of people just like you who can't pay the ridiculous fines levied against them.

Once they impound your car, if you're interested in getting it back, then you also have to pay for what they did to you. You have to pay for the curbside pickup and for storage. It blows your mind that government can get away with doing these kinds of things to people. But if you don't have the money to pay for all these things and claim your car, then it gets crushed. They do things in the name of safety that always involve people giving up their rights.

They act like they're doing the public a service, when what they're actually doing is robbing people under the guise of safety and using unjust laws to hide behind. Stealing is stealing. The problem with the whole deal is that they've made insurance mandatory when people are less able to afford it. The statistics show that one out of every twenty people drive without insurance. And they know that driving is how we get around, to and from work, and to do all things that are necessary to living.

Driving should be a right and not a privilege like they say. Our society is woven around being able to drive our cars to do our necessary activities for life. If they want more people to have insurance, why don't they work on lowering the costs of insurance, instead of running roughshod over those who can't afford it.

We all know how expensive an accident can be without insurance. And most people would have insurance if they had the money for it. Those that can afford it have, but many are left to take their chances, not by choice, but out of necessity.

Many car insurers have gotten behind this car crushing movement. They actually call for tougher punishments for anyone who doesn't have any. I believe it's a sad state of affairs for any country that goes through this kind of police state rule. It's disgraceful. Where can the common man find justice, as he watches his rights taken away, and the separation between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' grow ever wider.
